WEST STREET STAND UP PADDLE

West SSUP was founded in 2012 and is exclusively owned by industry leaders who share the vision of spreading the sport of Street SUP worldwide. Before launch, we were just a group of longboarders and snowboarders who've been "paddling" for a couple of years. Unsatisfied with his paddle at the time and not having any alternatives available on the market, Deejay decided to place a lacrosse ball at the end of an old rattan staff he had laying around for a few years and began riding with it.

 

 

His first impressions of the stick were that he missed the "T" handle and felt he lost alot of power. After a the first week he realized that he was starting to get faster and was able to climb inclines, also he noticed his chronic joint pain had subsided due to the flex and versatility of not having to stay in a fixed position with a T- handle.  After extensive R&D, West SSUP officially launched in October 2012 and added the rattan street paddle as our exclusive product.

We separate ourselves from companies who are only interested in self promotion rather than sport progression. Fundamentally, it doesn't matter where you buy your paddle or longboard. We've seen paddles made from everyday objects such as toilet plungers and broom sticks. Anyone can enjoy the sport of Street SUP with a little ingenuity; our purpose is to provide the best equipment and support in order to achieve the best results possible. We are constantly evolving and improving as a company so this acts as the starting point for future endeavours. 

 

 

The evolution of longboarding has resulted in an accelerated market in the areas of innovation and design. Our objective is to lead that market with the hopes of providing new and creative ways that will contribute to the sports advancement. Through dedicated marketing, customer feedback, and useful networking, we have established our online store in the hopes of educating our clients and spreading the sport of Street Stand Up Paddle.
