Dee's Thoughts on Earning 200 miles
Man what a crazy last few weeks. Miami was dope!!! I can't wait to buy a crib out there haha. Got to participate in the South Beach Bomb last Saturday. Then on Martin Luther King Day I got to participate in one of the toughest events in the longboarding community. The Miami Ultra Skate, ride as far as you can in 24 hours on a longboard. Although I was able to hit my goal of 200 miles by way of street stand up paddling without kicking, it was by far the most challenging thing I have ever done. It was the culmination of all the things I've done in my 34 years on this planet from standing countless hours of watch in the military bored out of my mind to going multiple days with little to no sleep. All my close friends and fam know how little sleep I operate on haha.
I'm also happy to prove that it is possible to be a BEAST on a plant based diet!!! Yes it's been over two years and I'm not looking back!!. The whole team was eating fruits and veggies and having smoothies the whole event and we are pleased with the results. Daniel Cambay hit 131 miles of pure #StreetSUP and Jeremiah was able to ride 156 miles, 100 miles of StreetSUP and 56 miles kicking. That's #WestSSUP!!! I'd like to thank some people because without them I wouldn't have made it.
First and foremost my team West Street Stand Up Paddle Jeremiah Vincent, Daniel Cambay and my loving GF Nina. I couldn't begin to tell you how much of my BS they had to put up with during the trip.... I Love your guys!!!
